Crystal

Crystal

A Poem by Zoe Renee

The
beautiful shining of my chandelier
made of crystal and
old memories
Those of my grandmother putting it
up
those of my sister breaking the bulbs
The
way it swayed when people above
walked across the creaky wooden floors
and how it left rainbows across
the walls.
walls painted with color
The
colorless points of the dangling shapes
as it sparkled when the sunlight
from the stain glass window
hit it
Beautiful colorless shapes
of my chandelier
