A Cry of Happiness

A Cry of Happiness

A Poem by JustANobody
"

A poem I wrote for a friend of mine during the summer. He loves this girl so much and some of his friends, along with me, helped him get the girl and they are currently dating now.

"
A childhood filled with grey skies,
A silent cry and many lies
A broken man is what I see
And within these walls, I want to be free.

A beauty I saw on the first day,
Yes, I have to admit, she blew me away.
Opened up and questioned what I just did,
She stayed and, together, we formed a grid.

Terrified to see her leave,
A treacherous feeling welled late that eve.
Fighting back this feeling, but to no avail
Haunted by this, a happy man I fail.

I peeked into my future,
And there she was, laughing at my humor.
A smile painted on her face is what matter,
As we broke the road we both staggered.

Does my title fit the poem? I'm really not sure how any of you would react to this. Btw, the point of view of this poem is my friend's and it was me who wrote it.
