"Mindless Melancholy"

"Mindless Melancholy"

A Poem by Zoe Anne

"Mindless Melancholy"

The darkness shrouds my brain,
You let me die in vain.
You engraved my tombstone,
With every bone.
My corpse will forever decay,
Oh so slowly for I am not fair any day.
The grim reaper kissed my warm lips,
And held me tight in his grip.
You weren't there,
You ran away, you wouldn't dare.
Now you give me flowers,
That grants no healing powers.
You're filled with such melancholy;
You'll pray for me even when the days aren't holy.

I like to write a lot of horror, poetry, and lyrics. My inspirations are Edgar Allan Poe, Anne Rice, H.P. Lovecraft, and Stephen King. I hope that someday my name will be next to theirs... more..
