Brain Storming

Brain Storming

A Poem by Zoede
"

A figment of my thoughts in words

"
Its only in those brief moments that the reality of things become clear to one's mind.
But this realisation escapes so fast, we can never hold on to it.
Maybe its because of how the world is right now.
I can feel it fleating,
Escaping from my grasp.
All i can hold on to is how it felt like,
The only real feeling felt after an eternity of being oblivious to this never ending world.
One can only hope to remember it and take a step with that.
I plan on doing so,
That's the reason why this exists.
One's conciousness is so unique,
Yet it is the most common thing in everyone.
They say everyone has a mind of their own,
A set of thoughts and beliefs,
which is purely their's to belong.
Yes
People become who they are from the experiences they had,
They define themselves as an individual.
Some even take such pride in it,
While some find it lonesome.
Though if you ask me on how I view it?
(Though i know no one priortizes others over themselves.)
(So they dont truely care what other's think, but about what they think.)
I am on my own.
And i have always known it.
Given that there will be people in one's life,
Who care for you.
But if one looks deep inside,
One is truely alone.
When this realisation strikes,
The sadness is oh so overwhelming.
The questions that arise; Is it really true?
Is there no one for me but me?
You search for the answer but deep down you know,
You are on your own.
Why?
Because one's conciousness is so unique, isn't it?
Because one is 'the' individual, that no one is.
And once the sadness passes,
COmes yet another form of realisation of how this truth,
This truth...
Sets
You
Free
Let's go back to the fleating reality of one's world.
Thus having known that one is truely on their own,
One should take action.
When that brief moment of reality comes crashing down on you,
You grasp it,
And understand it.
Now what do we do?
We change that sad reality; we make a better reality,
Stop living in obliviousness and open your mind.
Do what's to be done and make that change,
A change that is for the betterment of oneself.
I know i am on my own,
And i shall make the most of it.

I loved this. "People become who they are from the experiences they had,
They define themselves as an individual." I feel like we have similar thoughts at times, moments when we face reality as it is, not just the many perspectives that come with it.

But you know, even if it feels like no one will put someone else before their own I just remind myself you can't help anyone if you can't help yourself - if you don't know yourself, really know - and so my relationships are as fleeting as reality. And yet I learn the best and the worst from them before letting them go, to live their lives, while I drift. To know you will be alone when it comes to understanding the method and complexity which your mind works, how everyone's mind is different, like their heart, and no one is ever the same. Our experiences and how we handle them shape us, forge new tunnels in our mindscape, and the best we can do to relate is share much like we do on here.

Writing stories and poems. No one will truly understand what it was like for us but at the very least we will feel at the same wavelength for a moment long enough for reality to become clear once more and how important it is for us to be alone but not lonely. Not be dependent but still be surrounding on life as we know it.

Because reality is a tricky thing and is rarely ever truly seen, but when it is, it is something to remember. To see how we react despite the way things are - what makes us who we are.
