A Broken Love

A Broken Love

A Poem by John Zohoranacky

A Broken Love

In all the time

Since we have been apart

It should be a crime

That you still hold my heart.

Every time I think I'm over you

You smile and I melt.

I only wish I knew

What changed the way you felt.

You said you were in love

Said I was the one

But I'm no beautiful dove

And knew that you would run.

I let myself believe

That what we had would last

But now I only grieve

And won't forget us fast.

I know that we are friends now

But it's just not the same

I wish my heart would allow

Me to once again be sane.

You make me loose my mind

With every move you make

I wish that I could find

A cure before I break.

I have never loved anyone

As mush as I love you

I have decided that I am done

If I cannot have you.

I don't want any other

My heart won't let me rest

All I can do is try and cover

The pain I cannot express.

I will live life a bachelor,

Alone and on the loose,

I will be like Excalibur,

My heart only yours to seduce.

Thats nice. The idea of missing a persin is well expressed and put into rhymes correctly.
