Earnestly Yours

Earnestly Yours

A Poem by Zyphril
"

I won't get you back.

"
I want to feel loved.
I want to be loved by someone.
I'm unbearably lonely.
And it hurts...
because it wasn't always like this.
A large part of me is waiting,
Unable to cope with the saudade.
"I know she'll return" is what I tell myself.
Yet, the days turned into months.
And the months, turned into years.
I've crossed the country looking for you in someone else.
I won't find that.
So it's time that I say goodbye.
As lonely as I am...
I just don't want to hurt anymore.
Wherever you are,
I hope that you're happy.
I hope that you are content.
I hope someone else filled the shoes I was unable to fill.
I'm sorry I wasn't  everything you hoped for.
I'm sorry I didn't try my best.
I love you.
I miss you, dearly.
I was earnestly yours,
until I wasn't anymore.

you do really cut it lose with the personal feelings, and yet manage to keep it relate-able for others
