truth of love

truth of love

A Poem by ModifiedMama

We see the hurt behind each others eyes
We see the truth behind each others lies
You look at me with a sweet smile
Your soft touches let me know I'm worth your while
You speak of uncertainty
But here I lay
You need my comfort to survive
I look at you and see the best
You make me feel at such rest
My feelings grow strong which I confess
I'm trying to impress
But all I do is get undressed
And I'm feeling less and less
I want to be your queen
And I can guarantee at some point I can be better than I appear to be
I want to show you more
We can go to the lakeshore
We can run to the mountains to climb the tress
Or sail across the seas
Even find a summers breeze
Oh please cant you see
I want us to be free
Together we can redesign
Our so called lifeline
