Seer

Seer

A Poem by Blake P.

Why not just write of happiness?

Not so easily done,

for if there be a thing in my life I could address,

there would include just one.

The one in which I’m referring to,

is no longer that of mine,

her name is now that of taboo,

rather than valentine.

But if I were to say the future weren’t bright,

I’d be a liar,

It would be out of spite.

For not one man know’s what the future will hold,

now it lays in gray.

I must be patient as events unfold,

may my void be filled with the light of a new day.

Very true. "...not one man knows what the future will hold." This line speaks to me. I will keep my head up as it unfolds. Great poem! Great rhyme too!
