see you never

see you never

A Poem by megan dieu
"

a sonnet about a girl going through depression who decides to depart the world. this is her suicide note.

"
i wander a place bereaved of light,
treading a known world named reality.
i, the withering vine, a wretched sight,
degrading slowly, waiting to be free.

reality left red slits on my skin,
an everlasting tattoo of anguish.
reality pulled strings with a cruel grin,
till light, hope and pleasure diminishes.

the puppeteer controlled my emotions,
consuming the light within me slowly.
bleeding more as the crimson slits deepen,
it was killing me oh so gracefully!

dear loved ones, forget me of my virtues,
remember me for my lack of value.

-see you never, m.d

This was powerful and I could relate to each word on a personal level. Thank you for sharing and I hope the universe gives you nothing but light in the future so that you can heal.

This is beautiful in such a sad way. I could picture this as my own twisted short film in my head as I read it being someone who has suffered from depression and all of its wicked side effects. It flowed nicely and gave great emotion in each section, I felt it when i read it. Nice job, and if it is a reflection of your self, never let those puppeteers win ;)
