Observations - Heaven's Point

This is a description of one of my favorite places to go. It's along the shore of a river and not many people go there even though it's pretty easy to get to.

I hear the trickle drip-drop of the water in the pools

Escape back to the river as small crystalline jewels,

And the rustle of the reeds as heeding the wind’s rules

Start turning themselves into marsh grass’s living spools.

The seagulls bark and banter o’er river’s rippling waves

As water wears the earth away to make itself new caves.

Baby blue crabs scuttle, the shoreline’s little slaves,

Fighting for their homes over which the river paves.

This is the only place I know where peace is never far.

My precious little snip of earth that matches heaven’s par.

This little piece of shoreline lacking blemish, spot or mar

Gives this land a blessed grace to rival the night star.

Wow, this is wonderfully written.
Nature never ceases to amaze me. The imagery here describes the water's affects beautifully. I appreciate the relationship you create between the water and the animals.
