African beat

African beat

A Poem by a_methyste
"

In the afternoon I found all these suggestions. Everywhere reaching for my sight. It left me thinking. I do not feel like loosing weight, I would rather dance In an African beat.

"
In the afternoon
I found all these suggestions.
Everywhere reaching for my sight.
It left me thinking.
I do not feel like loosing weight,
I would rather dance
In an African beat.
With a burning indian scent
Around the fire.
It is why I am here.
To play?
It is beautiful to let me go in trance!

"It is why I am here", says the writer. Indeed, perhaps she is right, preferring an african musical beat, warm burning fire and an exotic indian scent (as it burns). Instead of, opting for the pain of dieting; which would be her choice. "To play"? Why not, although she is not stupid; and knows that adults must face certain responsibilities too.

"Everywhere reaching for my sight", suggests that the writer has been looking for a direction to take; in life.
