Somebody Gotta Help Me

Somebody Gotta Help Me

A Poem by Amy L. Arend

Somebody Gotta Help

I got the whole world in my hands.

I don't know how but

I got the whole world in my hands.

What am I going to do?

What should I do?

I got the whole world in my hands.

I'm going to share it

all because I got the whole world

in my hands.

All of the oceans, powerful and destructive

yet mellow and serenading.

I got the whole world in my hands.

I got the whole world in my hands.

I hold these birds, migrating south

for the winter.

Migrating north for the summer.

Yea, that's right.

I got the whole world in my hands.

All of these gardens, from

the rice fields in the far away lands

to the orange trees blooming nearby.

All year long, all year long.

I got the whole world in my hands.

Will you share it with me?

Because as you see, it's far too

beautiful for me to keep it to myself.

Yea, I got the whole wide world in my hands.
