Quicksand of Lies

Quicksand of Lies

A Poem by Andrea A. Wentz
"

For those on WC who are filled with drama, and enjoy trying to hurt and push away other writers on the Cafe, try to push them off completely. This is for them.

"

Words you weave

Thrown together with out much care

Attempting to sting and bite

Hurt and maim

Drive them away

Away from your throne

Poor thing

You do not see

They do not want your throne

Or want your sheep

They want only to write

To be at peace

They have found their peace

But you have not found yours

So you attack

Behind your curtains

Not allowing for rebuttal

Coward you hide

No proof do you provide

Caught in your own hatred you are

In quicksand you lay

Slowly sinking

Hurling insults at those who see

No, you will sink alone

And no one will hear your plea

As the last bit of ego

Last bit of lies

Fade away

Before you die

Sinking beneath

The murky guck

The guck that is

Your filthy lies

Consumed in your false world

Author's Note

Andrea A. Wentz
Eventually lies catch up to you and people will see you for who you truly are. Better to tell the truth, and not make negative assumptions, to not do anything you may regret if it was found out, than to live alone in quicksand.....quicksand of lies. (I did not send out read requests for this piece because I did not want anyone to recieved a request to think it was about them because it's not. I only have wonderfully kind people on my friends list. :)

-Had a friend named Walt Culpeper, (he's gone now,) and he taught me about charitably of perception. He said that being charitable was to assume that people meant the best in what they say to you, instead of the worse, kinda like a moral benefit of the doubt. I'm not there yet, at the time I told him that that was naive, better to not expect anything out of people, (or even the worse,) and then you won't be let down by others. I'm too guarded and cynical about the Human Race and it's evil motives, but I wonder about charitability and ponder, little by little I'm getting where I'm perceiving the best interpretations out of what people tell me instead of the worse.
Just some thoughts, not really about this, which is more concerned with liars and backbiters and is very sussinct.

I've read all kind of writings toward the people who have been hurting the others in all kind of the ways. But you've written it so much better than I thought it would be. Just glad to hear that you're not giving it up that easily and taking your position where to stand for what you really believe in...

Anyway, it's all good here, so no worries...

A righteous rant, highlighting both the hypocrisies of those who profess to be a friend, yet betray a trust the moment it suits their egomania and the retribution they will incur, for such behaviour.

Well delivered and composed!

I think it needs to be out there. Your words cut through the facade. It hold a mirror up to everyone. I heard someone say once the writers, by nature, are not competetive. I think some people are so envious and spiteful they hate anyone, or any writing above theirs. It is a shame really. Their are writers like you who do not push their writings, and many people miss out on your talent. This was a great piece...painful to some. Rain..

this is so well expressed. getting into the deep grittiness of lies. telling it like it is. telling people to get over themselves for thinking it is about them and their words that are meant to hurt. in the end all that anyone that lies will be is consumed in their own mess. there is no way for it not to get twisted and surround them. that old expression the truth will set you free... well it could not be more true. this piece just keeps it real!
great write my friend.

Wow the emotions felt here, I've been through it many times before and will go through it many times again, we must only block and ignore, for they only seek to hurt others from behind their ignorant masks. This is a very strong write, well done.

Before you die, that was sick, good write, I love what you did.

I think this was wonderfully writen and to the point that you were trying to make.
It is sad that there are actualy people out there, that would stoop to such a low almost unhuman level.
But i believe that karma does come around. So like you say, they will most likely die alone. Forgotten.
Good Write!
