My Solitary Confinement

My Solitary Confinement

A Poem by A.r. Bazian
"

i had a crush on a girl in my class! i saw something in her that no1 in the whole school saw! she got me all head over heals! yet i'm all mixed up with those feelings of rejection i've been feeling my whole life! you'll get to know something else about

"

my solitary confinement

oh what slave in thy shades!
what pain it seems that fades...
have thee no eyes?
why hath thee turned away
can't ye hear my cries?
my pain...
oh sorrow, have i defined thee?
silently i weep...
as the wound in my back bleeds...
and its growing deep!
have thee not chosen to turn away
each time i try to shine...
somehow i get pushed away!
even in the house in which i stay!
i am haunted by the sins i've made
for i can see your face in the leaves
and in the waves of the withered trees
your scent fills the air i breathe
my heart that beats your name!
and it shall not seize
for i hear your name with every breeze
the reek of winter...
for every time...
i recall i crime
why hath thee set all this free?
why can't i come over...
why keep reminding me?
why hold my eyes on you....
while you keep ignoring me?
have i for the first time...
been speechless...
for i cant say what's in my heart
have i pictured it in my mind
and the problem is that...
it hurts me every time!!

You can see your sin all around, always haunting you. Pain, regret - wanting forgivenesss. To rise from past mistakes. Your words make me feel sad because I know you want happiness. Somewhere, sometime, someplace, you will be happy. The poem has good imagery (not to be cliche'). I lean towards the emotional aspect of the poem, which is 100% present.

cause ye know she cant
she does not know

such is when worship

know of thy feelings

thy knows thy own sins
thy heart beats for
