In her ways III

In her ways III

A Poem by abhas
"

time fragmented love

"

The river wrote an ode to her name

As she stared at the evening star,

My face was scarred with her beauty,

As I kept my mind afar...

Behold!

They chant His name

Gargle fire... Breathe smoke...

Dance with no shame

Sinner am I

Unholy am I

To speak...

To think...

To write...

...Of Her

She stares at me with sensuous lies,

I wish I could deny her age,

Too close was I ... so close was she,

I wish I could deny her rage,

The grin was a gesture

Of things that would never be,

That she never looked back,

To the smile so profound,

The holy waters lay witness,

To the momentary love,

As it swayed to Aegean places,

As I slipped in her ways...

. you're evolving into a more and more perceptive philosopher and human ... and your writing is keeping pace with you ... i'm marveling at how you are peeling off the layers ... and arriving at the truth ... a truth which is like fragments of glass ... embedded in one's skin ... after a sort of explosion ... it takes a while to get all the pieces out ... it takes longer to view with compassion the cause of the explosion ... yet when it happens ... it feels like it was the easiest thing in the world ... peace is not too far from where you're at ... but take your time to get there ... and then stay there ... can't wait to read what you write next, abhas ...

I enjoyed the poem. Type of poem needed to be read with peace and quiet. You went in many directions with the poem. I like the story in your words. A strong ending to a excellent poem.
