how can I tell you that I like you
the way I like a vibrant sunrise
how can I tell you that when I talk to you
an eternity of mine, burns in a moment of time
how can I tell you that when I look at you
this moment freezes, this heart stops beating
as I stand and stare without a clue
the spell you cast upon my world unfolds unduly
how can I tell you that every time you smile
this dark face glows, like water under moonlight
how can I, if this heart that sustains me
leaves to find your side, how can I speak?
a part of me laughs at my foolish self
for it thinks the life and self are meaningless
but even my gloomy half knows better
to realise the beauty it witnesses
but I know that this can never be
for I live in the rags where it doesn’t snow
you deserve better, and may be we meet
just as to the sea, all the rivers flow
