Spiritual Treason

Spiritual Treason

A Poem by Me vs. Myself

Verse:

The silver lining on this cloud is fading gray, fading gray

I try to cover up these tears behind the pouring rain, pouring rain

My body trembles and my knees begin to shake, begin to shake

I don’t know what to do or how to handle all this pain, all this pain

Chorus:

God give me a reason

To keep on believing

I am losing my faith

Its spiritual treason

The way that I’m feeling

Father I’m calling your name

God give me a reason

Something to believe in

Right now I’m falling away

I’m spiritually bleeding

In need of your healing
Father I’m calling your name

Verse:

It overpowers and devours all my thoughts, all my thoughts

My mind is running but it really wants to be caught, to be caught

This is the story of my life but I don’t like the plot, I hate this plot

Feels like a needles in my veins but it’s an empty shot, empty shot

Chorus:

God give me a reason

To keep on believing

I am losing my faith

Its spiritual treason

The way that I’m feeling

Father I’m calling your name

God give me a reason

Something to believe in

Right now I’m falling away

I’m spiritually bleeding

In need of your healing

Father I’m calling your name
