2006 In the Land of Oppurtunity

2006 In the Land of Oppurtunity

A Poem by Johnathan Smith

There's something wrong in this land of America,

People dying,

Crops wilting,

Oil drying,

Money fleeing

Our land is soaked in the blood of those before us,

Their land is soaked in the blood of today,

What can we do?

How much longer will this tyranny from the clan last?

Two more years? I think not.

He sits on his high horse,

Dictating the way of freedom,

Demanding to cleanse this great land of anything un-Texan,

When did it come to this?

When did the tycoon take king and the plain man take pawn?

King takes liberty,

King takes nobility,

King takes freedom,

Stalemate...

Check.
