watching bricks fall

watching bricks fall

A Poem by addisonm241
"

fears of the future

"

I sung and sung to feel like i had a chance

Watched my sisters fall

Then get back up by crawling

Graduate 4 years in college

What should I do?

It’s easy to live when

You know who you are

It’s easy to move on when

She flew to the stars

When you know your purpose

When God is working

In your blood

Bound to a wooden chair

my soul was far gone

From a child to a charity case

In just a month

Faces and places of my past

Coming to mourn my future

You’ll never know which laugh is the last

The last time you’ll truly love

If this were a movie that had a cast

The devil would play us all

Because a soul has got to break

And this heart had to ache

To get where I am on this day

The blood, the sweat, the tears

You’ll see in a window of pouring rain

One day, your biggest internal fears

Will be your ordinary day

Youth is gone too soon

Just like your mother and father say

You’ll waste every moment worrying

Your older self will pay

She has regrets
