Lovers’ Q

Lovers’ Q

A Poem by adichie

If in the grand court of love and lovers
a man is tried
and found guilty
of flirting with an old flame
in front of his Valentine...

Should he hang by the neck until dead?

I was left without a word staring at this writing of yours.
The question kept seeking for answers that were to far from me.

By the way, an Idea came and I was like, "Let his Valentine decide."
But another part of me was saying, "Love do forgive but on one condition, that's if he'll never take that love for granted again."

Well expressed, Adichie.
It's pretty great!

Exactly right, Kay. And if not, he gets kicked to the curb.

Oh my goodness. He deserves the door, but hanging by the neck until dead? Drastic, but what a cad eh? Hope this hasn't happened to you.

Yes, a wise man doesn't flirt with another with his love near. Never truth a man who is eyeing the past and the future. Thank you my friend for sharing your amazing poetry and your thoughts.
