Sit Coms

Sit Coms

A Poem by stargirl23

wet eyes and trembling lips

lead to the opening of a laptop

in the hot-headed manner

that is typical of youth

instead of fighting back

it is time to ignore

sorrows taken care of

by capricious characters

and tinny, staged laughter

and unattainable happy endings

Adi, I love this. A piece that advises that sorrows not be addressed in an angry manner but instead worked through as if a comical story line in a TV show. A really nice twist to the typical response that resonates as sorrows embed themselves in our psyches. VERY well done. (Sorry this took so long for me to review) take care...dan
