Flying Crow

Flying Crow

A Poem by Adrian Smith

Take away all the pain in my life,

All the sorrow and heartbreak inside,

Take this treachery in this knife,

So I don't have to divide,

Sections that are all cut up,

I don't want to grow,

Help me with my health and get pumped,

Because I'm all torn like a crow,

Tried to fly away into the sky,

But got trapped in the body I'm in,

People look at me and are blind,

Because they don't know my sin.

I really enjoyed the ab rhyme scheme. The rhythm is right on. The simile in the middle ties the poem together perfectly.
