![]() Teddy Bears Are Not AliveA Poem by <3There were drawings on the sidewalk From what was a beautiful day squares and circles made of white chalk The raindrops came, washed them all away
A picture in a dusty album Just light reflected into my eyes Yet somehow I'm amazed by the spectrum The forms within which they hide
Do you remember when the world was young Although you weren't really around Do you remember when all we knew was love And that reasoning seemed sound
A memory I can't touch but it stays here just the same A diamond lost in the rough buried deep inside my thoughtless brain
Just a picture from a friend Who probablly wouldn't even recall But I kept it to the end Thinking it might save me from this fall
Do you remember how our sentences intertwined how you could always read my mind Do you remember all the times we spent out in the sun do you remember all of the love
Can you feel it in air Can you taste it in my tears Why am I still sitting here
If a picture's worth a thousand words I'll write the longest melody just to convey to you How much you meant to me
Do you remember how the rain would fall? How we'd run inside when our parents called And one day you never came back Im still waiting here drawing memories I'll be siting here Like some infectious disease
Do you remember when they said it was done do you still have the teddy bear I placed in your grasp Do you remember when they said passed on I imagined you reaching for one last gasp Atleast I know you'll sleep well tonight
