Hate is Strong, Like Coffee.

Hate is Strong, Like Coffee.

A Poem by <3

I hate that you're happy.

Not that I hate you, or your ideals;

On the contrary, I love everything about you.

I hate your happiness without me there.

I always wished you would trap me.

Pull me in just to tell me how it feels;

Instead it's by silence you do what you do.

Pull me in so unaware.

I hate that you don't hate me.

Then I might understand why you exist;

To teach me not to fall too fast.

I hate the purposelessness of our ship.

I love the life you lead.

Your's are the lips that are made to be kissed;

I hate the fact I feel I'll be last.

In fact, I know it.

I love this poem!!! I love how you used hate to show how you really want them! Good Job!

Oh, I absolutely love this poem! I love the way that you use hate to represent the longing and actual love one person is feeling for another, another who's unaware. In short: It's great.
