A Poem by Billy

there was a ringing here, in my ears,

something which sent in the beat of an electronic pulse

more knowledge than i know of possesing

the sound kept me between dreams and wakefulness

somewhere everything held an element of what was to come.

i would drink icy water, and in a moment be taken

down the icy river,

and it would tickle the back of my throat

i became a myth to myself, unable to find myself

outside of the flashing and the sounds

there was nothing.

i felt i was losing my mind

but then i woke
