Little Girl and an Angel

Little Girl and an Angel

A Poem by Angelica

A little girl sits with wide eyes
staring at a luminous angel’s face.
Sweet songs sing high in the skies
as his smile her eyes do trace.

Staring at a luminous angel’s face
she sets true emotion in disguise.
As his smile her eyes do trace
it’s who he calls for she can’t help despise.

She sets true emotions in disguise
as for now she’s in no haste.
It’s who he calls for she can’t help despise;
she wishes it was her dull self he would chase.

As for now she’s in no haste
though her mask will be her demise.
She wishes it was her dull self he would chase
as she sits waiting in no surprise.

Though her mask will be her demise,
she watches his soft hairs fall in place
As she sits waiting in no surprise
while tears fall swiftly in a pitiful craze.

She watches his soft hairs fall in place.
Sweet songs sing high in the skies
while tears fall swiftly in a pitiful craze.
A little girl sits with wide eyes.
