Bloodshot Skies

Bloodshot Skies

A Poem by Angelica

With each living day a never ending feud persists
as crimson slices though sunlight yellow ending
in the royal blue of night. Lighting strikes as

thunder follows, but the clash of sound and
color do not hinder the commotion of the living
down below the skies of two feuding lovers.

With each living day the eternal feud plays
unnoticed by the eyes of the people as the sun
rises and sets with the moon chasing close behind.

A place in the mellow sky is what they fight for
wearily while they fight eternally for a place
in the hearts of the living, for love unseen.

I love this!
I think the imagery is exceptional.
The mood, just right.
