Webs We Weave

Webs We Weave

A Poem by Amber Bein

I believe we are surrounded by lies

Lies that are not meant to be told

Or heard

Whether for good reason or bad

They will always lead to trouble

What good is it to tell a lie

Lies need to be covered up by other lies

And those lies covered up by more lies

Until one tiny lie becomes a

Twisted

Deceitful

Web of lies

Which will end up being your grave

It would have been so much easier

    To just tell the truth

Oooh! Good one! I agree one hundred percent and then some. It's like the idea of sinning by omission as well. Never any good comes about weaving falsehoods, even if the only one your lieing to is yourself. And the absence of fact is just as much of a lie.
I prefer having all the facts layed out infront of me. Even if it's painful. The sooner I can deal with the reality of any situation, the better off I am.
