The Oak

The Oak

A Poem by A Jackson
"

I'll let you interpret your own meaning into this new short poem.

"

The Oak is mighty, it stands so tall

In the midst of the darkening night

Storm is on the horizon,

But its roots whisper 'hold on tight'.

The destruction leaves its scars,

But you stand tall for the world to see.

As your skin is pierced and torn,

The Oak gives strength to me.

The religion tag gave me a greater clue.

But you stand tall for the world to see.
As your skin is pierced and torn,

Is it about Jesus on the cross? Where the plants used to make the cross made of an Oak tree?

As your skin is pierced and torn,
The Oak gives strength to me...

It's really starting to look like I'm right, but maybe I just have my own unique interpretation that isn't so obvious to others.

Great poem by the way!
