The Soldiers of Dawn

The Soldiers of Dawn

A Poem by The Royal Scribe
"

A poem written to capture the beauty of the Muslim woman headdress which is hijab.

"

The beauty of a hijab is like no other

As the most mysterious

And exotic beauty

It is only to be wrapped around the heads

Of those who desire to accept

The challenge of guarding it

The Soldiers of Dawn they are called

The soldiers who are unknown and undervalued

Even while fighting

The most dangerous of battles

The soldiers whose uniforms consist of this cloth

As a shield and as a magnet for predators

They take pride in

Concealing their beauty

They believe that beauty

Is but an extension

Of modesty

When covered one will be inclined to

Judge by their intellects instead

Without the distractions of the shapes

And forms of their bodies

Who needs bombs,

When you can kill with love?

Bottles thrown,

Curses said,

But they still stand strong

The Soldiers of Dawn are royalty in its

Purest form

All of the dazzling elements of elegance,

Purity,

And beauty

Hidden in this one cloth

Possessed only

By the Soldiers of Dawn

For only they

Have the resilience needed

To carry out the mission: to preserve its beauty

For the world to see
