A day they promised of brighter skies
Better than yesterday, so they lied
Clouds we see, as thick as clotted blood
Destiny presents, a great flood
Every glimmer of hope, all but lost
Frozen with fear, a hug from jack frost
Great in wisdom, we thought we were
How we wish, we had prepared....
