Unfair...

Unfair…..

I remember the face
that was lost in thoughts..
fine lines, those wrinkles
blank eyes, empty blocks
tired hands who worked days and nights
who turned dark rooms into place so bright
the one who sacrificed all his dreams
just to keep his family happy by all means

The face that smiled, no matter what situation
who fought for all, but just his portion
the face that glowed after seeing the kids happy
the one who believed Life’s one’s own creation
Lucky were those who learnt from him,
The joy of giving, being happy not grim

I saw him today, so sad and hurt
Trying to sweep that deep seated dirt
Deceived by his own loved ones
He lost the fight with his own reflection

Still I hope one day,
He will understand the tricks of life
And life too, will treat him fairly
Giving him a happy day, a contended feeling
And let him taste the fruits of his hard works of lifetime.
