Move on

Move on

A Poem by akutasame

Gloomy day, slightly melancholic,
Borderline alcoholic,
Lost in insanity,
Blissful vanity,
High on life,
Pulling out knife,
From broken back,
Just another crack,
In the permanent ice,
One more spice,
Sweet bitterness,
Makes no difference.

Walk forward, no stopping,
Never get caught napping,
Against the river, be brave,
Like a rock, break the wave,
Easier with the flow,
But take the blow,
Never shatter, never back down,
Grab that crown,
Cause you're the king,
Your name people sing,
Show them your worth,
Wash away the dirt.

Cleanse her hegemony,
Beat the enemy,
Whisper sorry,
Slay the memory,
Don't look behind,
Your path is outlined,
Right in front of your eyes,
Ignore the cries,
Forget what was said,
Push straight ahead,
Don't reminisce,
That first kiss,
Many tears shed,
Enough you bled.
