A Poem by albee

Ive danced many an amusement hall
with their drinks and teas
but I've never danced a dance as this
pulling with such sweaty ease
hidden points of my life
into eruptions as these
I can honestly say I'm discovering
a love like l've never seen

Dancing into a new love “ with such sweaty ease”….the excitement of it all, the way you express it… in a short sweet poem….
Lovely….

inspired by this dance with poetry...with other

"I can honestly say I'm discovering a love like l've never seen"- This line hit me in some special way, like you ought to explore something that makes you feel alive. Alive, that you need no one but yourself to stay happy & connected.
Well, I must say, I'm starting my day with such a good read.
Great work albee. I dig it.

This dance is certainly leading to some unexpected moves. A love is great when it pulls one out of the ordinary and catapults one to extraordinary places and heights. Who needs the regular tea party when we can have a volcanic one? A very unique poem says I. Enjoyed much!

Such a well-done comparison done in "dance"! In the dancehall it can seem like the way everyone is engaging is "the way" to engage. But then you find a different dance & it overtakes your poem to such a degree, it feels like the throbbing sensation is drowning out all that dancehall noise & mindlessness. Love your very unique & dynamic way of describing feelings of love. (I get so sick of the standard romantic phrasing!) Love this: "hidden points of my life into eruptions" -- the best "loves" are the ones that bring out the best in us! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
