Musings on the Reservoir Lake

Musings on the Reservoir Lake

A Poem by Annette Lemma

Gentle pace gentle place filled with grace

Paddles lapping rhythmic splashing guiding gliding rocking the way to the rocks where horses under their guides gracefully tastefully

Prance and drink prance and drink prance and drink

The mallard at take off sounding like a dog shaking off the water that
herons hover with grotesque beauty on barren limbs amid the rustle of amber leaves

Lap splash lap splash lap splash

Big splash from a jumping fish returning to his home below the shimmering horizon that offers cool relief and a place to play and muse
