Everything I Knew About Togetherness Was Wrong

Everything I Knew About Togetherness Was Wrong

A Poem by Alexandria Miller

He tells me that my skin is soft and
In a wave of autumn, I shiver.
The window's open,
My hearts astray,
He hates the cold and
I love the goosebumps on his skin.

He gets lost in my eyes
And I'm lost in his words.
Two different worlds
Finally colliding.

I'd been headed for disaster before
My path took a slight
Turn to your arms.
I let my worries and expectations go.

I closed my eyes
Let my arms down
And fell in a cloud of euphoria.

Wherever you take me
I'm sure it is home.
