Forever and a Day

Forever and a Day

A Poem by AlexMrrqn

It's not love that drives us
Just the fear of being alone
If you were to find us
Would you care enough to take me home?

Alone is how I've been, how I am, and how I will be
If you could look into my heart you would finally see
How I think, how I pray that you feel the same way about me
but my good intentions drown in a sea of misery
When I look into your eyes you are joyful and gay
But as I peer into your soul I see you slowly slip away
I was stupid to ever think that our feelings were the same
And now my loneliness will persist for forever and a day
