Stormy skies

Stormy skies

A Poem by Alexus Gassert
"

a soft yet true capturing of the changes in peace.

"

A dark rainy day

As simple as could be

The gloomy skies of may

Children play in the streets

Many stay inside

The puddles swell

Women and men finally collide

Peaceful and well

The clouds begin to form

Grey, black, purple begin to swirl

The eye of the storm

Lightening glistening like a pearl

The showers cease

The day ends with silent peace.
