My shadow

I open my eyes to nothing but darkness

  my heart filled with confusion

     do I see it with my eyes

   or do I feel it within my soul

        I look around to try and find the light again

I ask shall I stay

       or should I just go

a question that feels so wearily  

     but sounding so simple

       all I wish to do now is to close back my eyes

  and pray I awake them tomorrow

  - AM
