See ya

See ya

A Poem by Lexi Melton

Justify your black bowtie

and your skin thin blonde

with cherry lips

and corn straw hair.

Think you’re a big shot

you grounded rocket man?

Shooting for the stars

and landing in petunias

Don’t you remember that magical place?

With the lemon shrimp platter?

Doesn’t it matter?

At all to you?

Well have fun with your zombie model

and your dulled conversations.

Your jokes were never funny,

but she’ll laugh like I never would.

And I hope a pigeon craps

on your fine pinstriped suit.

Carefully dry cleaned.

For Her.
