Kidnapped

Kidnapped

A Poem by Lissa

Magic soaring through the sky

Fiery stars waiting to die.

Waters roaring into waves

Fleeting memories the mind cannot save.

Footsteps walking across the floor

Whispers creeping through the door.

Flickering pain, hot and red

Flashing lights in my head

Dim faces I cannot see

Blurring places I don’t want to be

Calming voices hold me still

Gentle hands take my will

I am safe and I am free

For they have come, they have the key

But as I embrace the cooling air

I can't help but stop, chilled and stare

For in my mind I forever see

His laughing face, smiling on me.
