Walking through a park, I saw a stuffed children's toy, a sizable, happy, blue shark. It was as if it had been placed there purposefully on a small mound of colorful fall leaves.

Impossible. “A fish out of water?”

They laughed at my plans, and

Chanted “No, no, no!”

But I wanted to go, go, go

Where fish never before dared to go.

“Faith moves mountains,” they say

But they never practice what they preach,

So they remain tied like

Links in a chain, each to each.

Will you dismiss miracles, or

Deny your own eyes?

Leave all doubt behind

Look, and see:

To you, I may seem dead, but

I am free!

I love this Laz. It reminds me once when I found something on a footpath that looked like it had lost its owner. I wrote a bit about it without ever saying what it was, just saying I found this thing.
Maybe now I realise, that just like the shark, maybe it was their break to freedom and not lost at all like I had thought.
Very nicely done Sir, although I can't believe I'm the first to review it.....philistines....pfft!
