Is Anyone Listening

Is Anyone Listening

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

A piece about fame.

"

Their have always been images associated with applause.

You hear a roar, accept the fact that fame

Crossed the lampshade of reality,

The bulb beaming in white teeth,

A cloth set apart from the rest of the crowd,

Hearing his or her words I know to not listen at all.

What did he or she say?

Was there any thunder?

It didn't matter.

Fame makes it own storm.
