Finding Your Darkness

Finding Your Darkness

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

dare to peer into your own dark side?

"

You are here in memory but you lack any insight as to how you arrived.

The only light is a five watt bulb which makes seeing difficult.

You stay close to the shoulder, your shoulder, because you can see it.

Meanwhile the sparkle of memories fade and like the five watt bulb become irrelevant.

You have found your dark side and its time to say hello.

What a meeting, huh? 19 people looked at this and only one review. I feel like other viewers don't get my writing. Thanks Jacob!

i like that...a five watt bulb....so little light, so much darkness
despair meets hope and says hello...

i like the personification...
and the use of different forms of light juxtaposed to the dark side of us.
