WITHERED

WITHERED

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Missing chance

"

Withered

You hear the notes of your survival,
A lament causes shivering in the night,
A suffocation of dreams leads to
the back alley of yesterday.
Why you call out is beyond any
measure of rational.
You slump,
Day & night weigh on your soul.
When chance falls upon you
You wither under its spell.

At 65 years old I'm not able to recall all those chance moments. They have fallen off the cliff of memory and recovered in another poem.

Thanks Jacob!

Regards,

Al

damn this is a good look at the times we pass up chances in life...perhaps we worry too much about surviving and staying safe and alive, than really being alive...and going after dreams.

nicely done my friend.
