A Crawl in Winter

In the long crawl of winter
I've seen your cold exhaled air
carry my breathlessness,
Carry it away
To tombstone fine
where I can play eternal
as stone spells my name
Withered from a cold heart
that weathers herself fine
in evening clothes
my dead soul gone
As she loves the self
she barely knows.

in some ways i think of my dad when reading this...and how he has been so depressed with my mom gone...their 70 years together...and his heart is withering...
i haven't had contact with him for awhile...but this is pretty much what my sister says...he is living with her now.
