Finding Daylight

Finding Daylight

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

the path to a fresh new world

"
Finding Daylight

Iris sharp in a shock of senses
Staring hard into the howl of night.

Dead!
Sucked the drama right out of her.

You creep into the armies of the self
And scream her loss till night finds a
new daylight!

Oh Benita!

I feel as though the shock of the poem caused a diminishing of your sweetness.

wow on the imagery here. "staring hard into the howl of night"
love that phrasing...

"sucked the drama right out of her" another keeper...

and the last stanza brings it altogether...so nicely.

Jacob

we scream loss, but eventually start over.
