A Verb in the Morgue

A Verb in the Morgue

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Me? Here!

"

A Verb in the Morgue

Breaths in the morgue,

Stillness moving toward nothing,

You hear a sigh, you hear a word,

Everything goes quiet

As fear finds you as a verb.

Adverb, verb, adjective,

Doesn't matter,

You are at the morgue

Not visiting the later.
