One's Last Breath

One's Last Breath

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

inhale vs exhale

"

One's Last Breath

I'm praying in the back waters of my soul.
Flaying arms keep me afloat
I want to sink
Feel it all around me
Open the mouth
Pour it in
Float in nothingness
Sink further where all darkness
dwells in phantoms of uncertainty
Remember to stay for the circle's breath
Live out my days on one's last breath.

Sure. I worked with ventilator patient. When congestive heart patient fill with fluid they struggle for air. The heaving is debilitating.

I was thinking that living on your last breath could be a way to live.
Thanks Jacob!

Regards,
Al

it would be nice wouldn't it? to die with a nice steady, even breath.
