Lost in a Silent Voice

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

voice please come again

"

Lost in a Silent Voice

Once I was a boy of little or no consequence
My own thoughts sequestered on an island of fear
There is something in the biblical phrase
I am that I am
but your nowhere haunts you
You driveled into yourself
lacking anyway out
Silent like a Stonehenge rock
You among all the silences of the world
waiting for a voice to find you.

There must be something about deep! Perhaps lack of a family, maybe to many book read, maybe just looking for rapture.

Thanks Doodley!

Al

.
A very deep poem, Alfred.

There is a brilliant dualism to this piece; of being lost in our own world in silence, looking within to find our old self, our old voice; while also speaking of finding the voice of another, another soul to speak to us and coax the voice that we have buried deep within.
This poem has a very deep simplicity in its meaning and words.
Another fine piece of writing.
